Students at La Guardia Community College in Long Island City are creeped out about a suspected pervert with a fetish for toes. "I think that's disgusting, very disgusting," said student Andre Davis.What has them disgusted has to do with recent allegations about a custodian who, according to investigators, approached a high school student who was taking classes earlier this year on campus and offered her, "all the money in the world" -- if she would just let him suck on her toes.
Joyce Mohan, a student, told PIX11: "That's totally unacceptable, especially in a school setting, any setting really, but a school is worse."Fellow student Anita Velez agrees, adding... "if it was[sic] my child, oh no,no,no,no,no," Mohan adding, "Some action should be taken - drastic action."
College officials say there were a couple of incidents in a six-month period. The second time, the young student in question refused the offer from the nearly 30-year-old custodian. Then, she said, that's when he physically crossed the line - grabbing her and dragging her. But, she broke free and told authorities. That's when the college says it took steps to have him fired.
Davis is happy to hear that. "I think that's great, he deserved it."
According to reports, police opened an investigation but then dropped the probe after learning the custodian had already been removed from the college. Velez does not like the sound of that.
"I think that they should have pressed charges so there is a record of him doing this -- so in the future if someone came[sic] forward, then they would have a history."
As for LaGuardia Community College, it maintains safeguarding the community is among its "highest priorities."
